Several teachers from our university, including Wang Wei, Chen Jun, Yang Min, Chen X ue wu, Ji Yan jie, Cheng Long, attended 2024 China Urban Transportation Planning Annual Conference. The conference was held in Kunming, Yunnan on September 20-21,2024 and was hosted by the Urban Transportation Planning Professional Committee of the China Urban Planning Society, undertaken by Shenzhen Urban Transportation Planning and Design Research Center Co., Ltd., and co- organized by Kunming University of Science and Technology and Kunming Planning and Design Research Institute Co., Ltd. The theme of the conference was Green Intelligence for Quality Improvement and Efficiency Enhancement, and approximately 700 representatives from all over the country attended the academic event.
On the morning of September 21st, the specialized forum Int elligent Operation and Service of Comprehensive Transportation H ubs was successfully held by the School of Transportation at Southeast University. The forum discussed the challenges, counter measures, and frontiers of efficient operation and intelligent service of comprehensive transportation hubs under the application of new technologies such as artificial intelligence, digitization, and the Internet of Things. The forum focused on research directions such as the planning and layout of comprehensive transportation hubs and spatial intensive design, hub operation monitoring and evaluation, multi-modal collaborative intelligent services, hub intelligent construction platforms, and comprehensive hub intelligent navigation and passenger guidance, fully leveraging the cross-fusion advantages of government, industry, academia, research, and application, and providing decision-making references and helpful suggestions for better implementing the construction of a strong transportation country and promoting the high-quality construction of comprehensive transportation hubs in the new era. The forum was chaired by Professor Chen Jun.
