The 4th National Teaching Seminar in Transportation was jointly held by School of Transportation of Southeast University, China National Instructive Committee of Transportation Engineering Education, and Ministry of Education and China Communication Press from July 21 to July 22, 2018 in Southeast University, which attracted more than 200 experts and scholars from 83 universities and enterprises in transportation engineering discipline.
In the opening ceremony, Wu Gang, the vice president of Southeast University, Prof. Shao Chunfu, the deputy director of China National Instructive Committee of Transportation Engineering Education, Ministry of Education and Sun Xi, director of China Communication Press representing organizers and sponsors delivered speeches respectively. Prof. Guan Hongzhi, Prof. Liu Pan, Prof. Pei Yulong, Prof. Zhao Shengchuan and Prof. Yang Xiaoguang delivered keynote speeches respectively. Besides, there were 25 classfied guidance reports referring to development of education and teaching in transportation engineering, personnel cultivating program, education method reform and some other aspects.
Successful holding of this teaching seminar exerted positive effects on contribution in strengthening the teaching communication among teachers of transportation engineering from different universities, improving the cultivation quality of professionals in the new engineering age and facilitating construction of transportation engineering in all universities nationwide to a large extent.
